Agrigento

During our summer holidays in Sicily we went to Agrigento in the southern part of the island and took the girls to see the archeological zone in the Valley of the Temples with remains of seven Greek temples, all in Doric style. The place is really impressive but I would advice to visit it in the early spring or late autumn when the weather is not too hot. During our visit the temperature was 38 degrees Celsius and it's difficult to find a place in a shadow in that area. The cold water we carried with us in a bottle was soon lukewarm and didn't refresh at all. I was really amazed to see a couple of of French tourists with a scarf around the neck but I guess that for some people style always comes first ;)
